રહ્યાઅટૂલાદરવાજા, હાભાગ્યસકલતુજખૂટ્યાં;<br />
અનેસોડતુજવહતીનિર્મળગઈક્યહીંએસાબર?<br />
ઢગઢગરેતી-ઢગલાએનાંલૂંટીગયાહાઅંબર!<br />
અનેતીરએશાભ્રમતીનેસંતતણોજેવાસો :<br />
આજપડ્યુંપિંજરહંસાવિણ — ખાલીરહ્યોદિલાસો;<br />
એકસંતેજેધૂણીધિખાવી, જેવૃત-તપઆદરિયાં,<br />
આજનથીકોઅહીંમહાત્મા —જનસંધાંટાબરિયાં.<br />
નથીઝળકતામહાઅગ્નિકોતપના, નાપ્રતિભાના,<br />
નહિમેધાનામેરુ, નહિકોઅંતરકરુણાભીનાં;<br />
અહો, આજકરુણાનાંઆંસુમગર-આંખથીદડતાં,<br />
રસોભયાનકબીભત્સકેરાંઆજબજારોચડતાં!<br />
અહો, ઊગ્યામુક્તિનાસૂરજ, નિજનાંરાજ્યરચાયાં,<br />
પણસુખશાંતિતણાંચોઘડિયાંહાય,હજીનવવાગ્યાં;<br />
આજવધ્યાંધનઢગલેઢગ, પણધાનઅહાશાંખૂટ્યાં,<br />
પાઇપબધેનંખાયાનળના, પણપાણીનહિપૂગ્યાં!<br />
આજઅરે, રૂપિયાશાસસ્તા, સસ્તીનેતાગીરીઓ,<br />
ઘડીઘડીશામચેમોરચા, સ્થળેસ્થળેરેખાંભીઓ,<br />
આજખરેકોનેરોવુંનેકોનેહસવુંનજાણું,<br />
આજનયન-મુખબંધકરીદઉં — બંધકરુંમુજગાણું!<br />
તોયઊઠેછેમનથીછબી, એકછાનીછાનીસુરાવટ,<br />
કાલહતીતેઆજનથી, નેઆજબદલશેકરવટ;<br />
ત્રિકાળનેમાર્ગમંડાઈજગનીકૂચ-કદમઆ,<br />
તુજઆત્માતુજનેમળશેહા — થાશેખુદા-રહમહા.<br />
