About the author: Shree Yogesh Joshi

One of the renowned authors of Gujarati Literature, Shree Yogesh Joshi (b. 3-7-1955) is an engineer by profession. After securing M.Sc. He  joined Department of Telecommunication as Junior Engineer and Retired as Deputy General Manager. But the pace and persistence  of his creativity has been such that 7 collection of poetry (Avajnu Ajavalu, 1984 to Tejnan Foram, 2021); 7 novels (Samudi, 1984 to Andhari Yatra, 2011); 3 Collections of Short Story (Hajuy Ketlu Door, 1993 to Adharmo Chahero, 2013); character Sketches (Moti Baa, Bhai); Translation (Mrityusmeepe); 14 books of children's stories; And 13 editions (the most important being Gujarati Kavyamudra of the Twentieth Century, 2007, among others) – he has authored as many as 60 books till date.

The uniqueness of his  identity as the author is mainly that of a poet equipped with concrete lyrical images.  His works, in every genre, have been awarded.

Shree Yogesh Joshi has served  as the editor of Parab, a magazine of Gujarati Sahitya Parishad for eighteen years. His milestone work, Samudi,  has been  part of the curriculum at many universities. Dr. Rucha A. Brahmbhatt
