At the same time, she has collections of poems, essays, and short stories, along with two novels, four translations of Bengali novels and a book of photographs of India, totalling nearly 50 books. She has been bestowed many prestigious prizes for her writing, and her work is included in National as well as International Anthologies. | |||
As a traveller she has been to over 110 countries, and all seven continents, plus the magnetic north pole. She travels all by herself, joy and wonder being her only companions. | |||
